I do believe that I am a competent therapist. I have the education, skills, and training to help guide people through difficult situations. Yet, that’s not the only reason why you should consider working with me. I think just as important as being competent is the fact that I flat out care about people. Empathy, compassion, and creating a safe environment are all important elements to my style of counseling.

No. Currently I do not accept any form of insurance. However, I can provide you with a super bill (invoice) that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement less your deductible.
I work with adults and children over the age of 13.
No. Your records are confidential. I do not share records unless mandated by court order or upon your request. I will not communicate with your insurance company or any other entity about your treatment.
Yes. What you tell me is confidential and will not be shared with anyone. There are only two exceptions to this rule. If you tell me that you want to hurt yourself or another person the law mandates that I break confidentiality and get you the help you need.
I will send you an email with a special link. This link will take you to a secure webpage where you will be asked to complete intake forms. You will be able to complete and sign all of your intake forms online. Your records will be stored in a HIPPA compliant environment with bank level encryption.
We will discuss your current problem(s), explore antecedent events to your current problem(s), and create a custom treatment plan to address
those specific problems.

I am currently available for in person and online appointments on Saturdays between 9am-3pm.
Generally counseling is short-term and meant to address a specific/current problem. Whereas psychotherapy usually addresses long-standing problems and occurs over a longer period of time.
It stands for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. However, I am also able to use the designation of psychotherapist. In short, I am a therapist that can work with individuals, families, and groups.
I am available for family therapy sessions. Unfortunately, I do not provide couples therapy.
You certainly could. The benefit of having a counselor however is being provided with a safe and private place to receive support and guidance.
Absolutely not. Counseling can help people manage issues such as anxiety and depression. But it can also help with common life adjustments such as moving, changing jobs, or experiencing a difficult breakup.
It depends on your needs. We could meet once a week or once per month. We can always adjust the number and frequency of visits.
There is no set timetable. It will depend on issues such as the nature of your current problem(s), frequency of visits, your level of participation, etc. That said, I always strive to be solution focused and time limited.

You can request an appointment by clicking here.
You are able to cancel appointments up to 24 hrs before your session without penalty. However, if you no show or cancel on the day of your appointment I will assess a $25 fee during your next visit.
During your initial assessment you and I will develop a safety plan which will include identifying your emergency contacts and creating a list of emergency services near you.
